Connecticut College

Our last trip of the first week was to Connecticut College in New London, CT. This was the smallest school the group had seen so far and many of our students liked the feel of the campus. Lucie Welles, a Forman alumna from the class of 2017, joined us for lunch in the dining hall. Lucie's willingness to take time out of her day to meet with us provided another opportunity for students to hear first-hand about the transition to college.

Our third trip of the Winterim took us to Springfield, MA where we visited Western New England Univerity. Some students were interested in the range of majors that were offered, specifically related to forensic science and criminal justice. WNEU also had an impressive new science building with state-of-the-art labs and classrooms.

Trinity College

On Wednesday we headed to Hartford, CT to visit Trinity College. Some students were impressed by the small class sizes, the school spirit, and the wide range of activities that were available outside of the classroom. Other students did not feel like Trinity would be a good fit for them based on the feel of the campus. The group found it interesting that so many of them had different opinions of the school even though they had they all saw it at the same time.
